Olivem^®1000 Crystal Skin™ generates liquid crystals with a skin-like fatty acid composition. Thanks to its dermo-compatibility, when applied to the skin, Olivem^®1000 Crystal Skin™ creates a wide area of adhesion and this leads to a physiological delivery of water-soluble active ingredients.

Skin compatible liquid crystals physiologically integrate into the upper levels of the stratum corneum, increasing the integrity of the skin barrier function. Finally they enhance delivery of biologically active molecules while maintaining (increasing) barrier function.

The action of the liquid crystals formed by the Olivem^®1000 Crystal Skin™ acting as carrier to promote trans-epidermal delivery of active ingredients was tested. Studies show a significant increase in skin penetration [+ 49%] after 24 hours.
